Strip Trees is a performative protest in constant (d)evolution, re-composing in multiple forms.

The duet, originally created in collaboration with Portuguese choreographer Sara Anjo, plays with a perversion of the relationship between two ‘she-trees’. Through physical, written, and vocal states work a metamorphosis occurs. Working with a decompositional approach, Strip Trees deals with questions of consumption. Original text inspired by Annie Sprinkle.

Strip Trees also manifests as a solo. Assemblages of the tree tenant, the giving tree, the whore tree, the tree bomber, the women who run with trees. The ‘she-tree’ body is consumed, deteriorating and puzzling. The piece provides a distortion of (un)natural perceptions.
