What if We Dig Under the Bed? is an open exploration of the visceral senses & potential of haptic communication. The connection is made felt and visible through imprints of dirt on skin and cloth.
Dirt has held great significance throughout time, as the site of death and life — buried bodies and rotting food regenerating into a space for planting and growth. The rich complexities of ‘dirtiness’ come also with stigmas and associations regarding sexuality and im/purity.
I offer my body as the site for this unearthing.
